Unwelcome

‘Unwelcome’ depicts the story of Maya (Hannah John-Kamen) and Jamie (Douglas Booth), a London couple who move to rural Ireland in order to escape their urban life. What they discover, however, is far from what they expected.

They discover that evil, bloodthirsty goblins hide in the gnarled, old forest at the foot of their new gardens. Maya is heavily pregnant and concerned for their and her unborn child's safety, and now they find themselves desperate for help.

‘Unwelcome’ is based on goblin stories from Irish and Scottish culture. It delves into the legends of redcaps, a violent goblin race whose name comes from their custom of soaking their caps in the blood of their victims.
