Laurence Fishburne is a father figure in this Christian sports film

‘Under the Stadium Lights’ is a sports drama film directed by Todd Randall. The movie is based on the book ‘Brother’s Keeper’ co-written by Chad Mitchell and Al Pickett. Distributed by Saban Films, this movie stars Milo Gibson and ‘The Matrix Trilogy’ actor Laurence Fishburne.

The story follows the journey of West Texas ‘09 Abilene High School Football team. After an embarrassing defeat in the previous season, everyone sees the Abilene Eagles as underdogs. The team is facing doubts and personal challenges that could threaten their performance in the upcoming season.

The team tries to overcome their difficulties under the guidance of the team chaplain Chad Mitchell (Milo Gibson) and a beloved father figure in the neighbourhood, Harold Christian (Laurence Fishburne). The players then start to realise that they have to stand united to prove their doubters wrong.
