‘The Unbreakable Boy’ is a film inspired by a biography titled ‘The Unbreakable Boy: A Father's Fear, A Son's Courage, and A Story of Unconditional Love’ by Scott LeRette, which is based on a true story.
Austin (Jacob Laval) is a young boy who suffers from brittle bones and autism. However, it is his joyful, humorous, life-affirming philosophy that transforms and unifies everyone around him that makes him genuinely special. Austin's father, Scott (Zachary Levi), learns to view Austin as the victory of an indestructible spirit rather than a sign of brokenness.
Director Jon Gunn developed the script and worked on the film with production company Kingdom Story Company. Gunn has previously worked with Kingdom Story Company as a co-writer and executive producer of ‘I Still Believe’ (2020), a romantic drama film about Christian musician Jeremy Camp.
