‘The Novice’ takes the story of a college freshman, Alex Dall, as she joins her university's rowing team. Despite the warnings from her friends, she still undertakes an obsessive psychological and physical journey to make it to the top varsity boat, no matter the cost.

Isabelle Fuhrman stars as the obsessive freshman. She is known for her role in ‘Orphan’ (2009), ‘The Hunger Games’ (2012), ‘Escape Room: Tournament of Champions’ (2021). Meanwhile, Amy Forsyth takes the role of Jamie Brill, Alex’s friend. Amy is known for her role in ‘We Summon the Darkness’ (2019), ‘Hell Fest’ (2018), and ‘A Christmas Horror Story’ (2015).

Alex’s fellow rowing teammate, Dani, will be played by Janiece Altagracia Dilone, known for her role in ‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ (2021). Other cast members include Charlotte Ubben, Jonathan Cherry, Kate Drummond, Chantelle Bishop, Sage Irvine, Jeni Ross, and Nikki Duval.
