This upcoming action film directed by Scott Waugh is based on a story by Spenser Cohen, Kurt Wimmer, and Tad Daggerhart and is the sequel to The Expendables 3 (2014)

The fourth in the franchise, this film brings a new generation of stars to join in this adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles.

Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia.

The Expendables are assigned on a mission to stop Rahmat, who runs a terrorist organization, from smuggling nuclear warheads that will ignite a conflict between Russia and the US.

Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world's last line of defence and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give "new blood" a whole new meaning.

The elite mercenaries are tasked with a mission to overthrow the Latin American dictator whom they soon discover to be a mere puppet controlled by a corrupt ex-CIA agent.

The initial 2010 American action film was directed by Sylvester Stallone, who co-wrote it with David Callaham and starred in the lead role. It was the first in the series and was Dolph Lundgren's first theatrically released film since 1995's cyberpunk film Johnny Mnemonic.
