'Orphan: First Kill' is a prequel to the film 'Orphan' (2009), which tells of Leena Klammer, who is a woman suffering from hypopituitarism. Disguising herself as "Esther", the missing daughter of Katie and Richard Mauerova, Leena finds a temporary home under the couple’s care.

However, Richard is convinced that the girl is not his daughter, while Katie disagrees and thinks her husband is paranoid and hallucinating. Leena tries to separate them, however, both Richard and Katie quickly discover Leena's dark past.

Taking the main role of Leena Klammer a.k.a. Esther is Isabelle Fuhrman, who reprises her role from the previous Orphan franchise. Fuhrman has previously appeared in several other prominent films, including 'Hunger Games' (2012), 'Escape Room: Tournament of Champions' (2021), and 'The Novice' (2021).

The film also stars Julia Stiles and Rossif Sutherland Esther’s latest parents. Stiles is an actress who is famous for her roles in the popular 'Bourne' (2002-2007) franchise and 'The Omen' (2006). Meanwhile, Sutherland is known for his performance in 'Possessor' (2020).
