‘Occupation 2’ or ‘Occupation: Rainfall’ is the sequel to 2018’s Occupation. It is directed and written by Luke Sparke with top-notch visual effects from Green Smoke Digital and Red Ring Entertainment.

This sequel tells a story of what happens two years after aliens land on Earth. ‘Occupation: Rainfall’ starts with humans fighting back as the aliens launch devastating attacks on Earth. Then, when a new intel suggests the aliens are searching for something called “Rainfall”, a weapon that can trigger a mass extinction, humans realise that they have to stand united to defeat the invaders.

After hearing about it, soldiers Matt (Dan Ewing) and alien ally Garry (Lawrence Makoare) travel from Sydney to Alice Springs to find “Rainfall”. Along the way, they invite Peter Bartlett (Temuera Morrison) who leads a rural community built in the first movie. Meanwhile, Amelia (Jet Tranter) fights with a fanatic general (Daniel Gillies) who she thinks is a war criminal.
