Lyle Lyle Crocodile

‘Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’ follows a crocodile named Lyle and his family. Lyle loves helping the Primm family with everyday chores and playing with the neighbourhood kids, but one neighbour, Mr Grumps, believes he belongs in a zoo.

Lyle attempts to prove that he is not as bad as Mr Grumps makes him out to be. He tries everything to win him and his cat, Loretta, over, but nothing works. It becomes clear to Lyle that in order to reveal the hero and friend behind his crocodile smile, he will need to pull all the stops.

This adaptation of Bernard Waber's children's story of the same name was announced in May 2021. Director Will Speck, known for ‘Office Christmas Party’ (2016) and ‘The Switch’ (2010), and Josh Gordon adapted the film from a screenplay by William Davies, whose latest works includes ‘Johnny English Strikes Again’ (2018).

Javier Bardem and Winslow Fegley were cast in July, followed by Constance Wu, who joined the cast in September. Later, the cast was joined by Lyric Hurd and Brett Gelman in October 2021.
