Long Story Short
A trip down the Noughties rom-com lane

Romantic comedy (rom-com) films were everywhere in the ‘90s and early 2000’s. Before the age of superheroes seized the world, A-list actors like Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, and Hugh Grant came out with rom-com films almost every year. ‘Long Story Short’, written and directed by Josh Lawson, reminds us of a lot of the rom-coms of that era.

Teddy (Rafe Spall) is a chronic procrastinator with terrible time management. He wakes up the morning after his wedding and witnesses his mundane life flash before his eyes. Every few minutes, his life jumps another year ahead, causing him to miss important moments in his life.

He enlists the help of his best friend Sam (Ronny Chieng) to undo the time skip and find the root of the problems. In doing so, he must first learn how to make every second count with the love of his life, Leanne (Zahra Newman).
