Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Nearly six years after the release of ‘Doctor Strange’ in 2016, ‘Sherlock's star Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as the titular sorcerer in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. The Marvel Studios' superhero movie is part of Phase Four of Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is set after 2019's ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

The plot revolves around Dr Stephen Strange, currently the sorcerer supreme. The former surgeon continues his research on the Time Stone after the events of Infinity Saga and later has to face a familiar face that aims to eliminate all sorcerers on Earth.

Disney+'s ‘WandaVision's plot will resume within the movie, and producer Kevin Feige also hinted that the ‘Loki’ series would also play some role. Although the speculation is not confirmed, ‘Loki's star Tom Hiddleston is reportedly spotted on set.

On the other hand, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been confirmed to reprise their MCU roles. Meanwhile, ‘The Baby-Sitters Club's Xochitl Gomez will debut as America Chavez or Miss America, billed as one of the most prominent LGBTQ superheroes.
