Black Adam

The forthcoming superhero flick ‘Black Adam’ is based on the DC Comics anti-hero of the same name. The film is a sequel to ‘Shazam!’ (2019) and the eleventh entry in the DC Extended Universe or DCEU.

The film is set in Kahndaq, which was a melting pot of cultures, wealth, power, and magic about 5,000 years ago. Yet, save from the shackles around their necks, the majority of its residents had nothing. Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is the hero Kahndaq is looking for, but the authorities imprison him after his fight for righteousness.

However, he is now free, and he promises to take up where he left off. The difference this time is that he will not be stopped.

‘Black Adam’ is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. Following last year's Disney success ‘Jungle Cruise’ (2021), this is the second collaboration between the Spanish-American filmmaker and Johnson.
